Help! There’s a Pregnant Person in my Yoga Class!

Lauren clearly remembers the very first yoga class she taught. A VERY pregnant woman walked in to class and Lauren, feeling already very intimidated, walked up to her and told her to listen to her body and to NOT DO ANY TWISTS. That was the extent of the training she had received during her 200 hr training. Since then, she’s become very comfortable teaching and guiding pregnant bodies, and would love to release some of the fear and misinformation regarding what is and is not safe for pregnant women and birth parents to practice.

Join Lauren for this workshop, with yoga teachers specifically in mind, to learn about the truths and myths surrounding a person’s yoga practice during pregnancy. You’ll learn ways to modify poses to make them more comfortable for each trimester, contraindications for specific challenges of pregnancy, and asana that feels particularly supportive to the prenatal population.

Included in the cost of the workshop are several resource sheets for pregnancy challenges, a guide to common misconceptions about practicing yoga while pregnant, and email access to Lauren for any questions before or after the workshop is offered.

This workshop is offered on a sliding scale basis (suggested donation $35 - $55) though the class is offered on our website for $45. If you’d prefer to pay more to supplement others, or need to pay less, please just send Venmo payment to Lauren at @Lauren-Sacks-2 or paypal lsacks29@yahoo.com.
