Moving into Motherhood
WITH LAUREN
IN PERSON AT SFEER STUDIO IN CHAPEL HILL
5 WEEK SERIES, SUNDAY AFTERNOONS, 1:00 - 2:30 PM
In weekly sessions with coach, yoga teacher, and postpartum doula Lauren Sacks, you'll gain tools for coping with the range of emotional experiences accompanying pregnancy and new parenthood. Learn psychological wellness practices, yoga and mindfulness, and find social support and connection. Special guests will discuss good sleep and ways to practice mindfulness and self-compassion during this time of transition. While this is not a baby & me yoga class and some parents find it preferable to practice solo, babies are welcome to attend (and the final practice includes little ones!).
Any peripartum person of any race, ethnicity, national orientation, religion, relationship status, sexual orientation, or gender identity is welcome to attend this group. We do not want financial constraints to limit your ability to attend - for sliding scale or financial support, please reach out to lauren@wholemamayoga.com.
Lactation is such a beautiful gift that we can offer our children, but it takes its toll on the body and mind! Join Courtney & other lactating parents for a weekly class designed for the aches, pain and exhaustion that come with lactation. This class will be offered virtually so that each family has the comfort of their own setup. Nursing is welcome during each class, as is stepping away, if you need or want.
Courtney worked with the International Lactation Consultant Association for 5 years, and has her perinatal certification through Whole Mama Yoga. She is not a lactation consultant, but can deeply remember nursing her own 3 children. This class is meant to provide movement during lactation, and will not include any advice on breastfeeding.
The intention of this class is to offer yoga that is inclusive of all bodies & experiences. That means that this class is appropriate for mothers & parents who are breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping or otherwise creating milk from their own body for their babies.
The cost is $10 per week, or $80 for a 10-class pass. If you need to pay less, or would like to pay more, please email Courtney directly.

Join Erin for a unique weekly class focused on helping you embody whatever mothering means to you. We'll think about feeling confident in our bodies, finding our voice & making space for who we are & who we are becoming.
Embodied Mothering Yoga is all about moving the thoughts, stories & messages about mothering that live in our minds into our bodies so that our bodies can notice them, and perhaps process & move through them. To keep class as movement focused as possible, we will not begin with a check-in (as most postnatal yoga classes do). Instead, weekly, thematic journal prompts will be provided.
This class is designed for any postnatal birthing person - no matter how long it has been since your labor & delivery.
Class will leave you feeling a little closer to the magic inherent in all mothers.
Meet Your Teacher: Erin Hanehan

These meet ups are perfect for regular Embodied Mothering Yoga students looking to connect in-person or for folks who don’t love practicing online. All are welcome!
